Easy Slow Cooker Jacket Potatoes – No Foil Needed

One of the best things about a slow cooker is that you can just dump in all of the ingredients and let it do its thing. These Easy Slow Cooker Jacket Potatoes are no exception – there’s no need to wrap them in foil! Just prick your potatoes all over with a fork, place them in the slow cooker, and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Add your favourite toppings, and you’re good to go! Plus, they’re perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal.

What you’ll love about this recipe:

  • SUPER QUICK – There’s nothing quite like a piping hot baked potato topped with your favourite toppings. But who has the time to wait an hour for a potato to cook in the oven?
  • That’s where slow cooker jacket potatoes come in. Just pop your potatoes in the slow cooker before you head out for the day, and they’ll be ready and waiting for you when you get home. No more waiting around for hours for your potatoes to bake!
  • HEALTHY – Jacket potatoes are healthy (depending on what filling you put in them!) and a good alround food to it, and versatile.
  • INEXPENSIVE – Potatoes are relatively cheap to buy, and by using a slow cooker, you save on energy. It’s a win-win!

How to prepare jacket potatoes for the slow cooker

If you want to ensure that your potatoes are cooked thoroughly, then wash and scrub them, then completely dry them before oiling and sprinkling them with salt. Only put one layer of potatoes in the slow cooker. An average size slow cooker should fit between 5 and 6 medium size potatoes.
