HOW TO MAKE EASY LOW CARB KETO PANCAKES

Do you love pancakes but are looking for a way to make them that fits your keto or low-carb diet? Look no further! These easy keto pancakes will satisfy your craving and stick to your diet. Plus, they’re so simple to make that even beginners can master them in no time.

The secret to making these pancakes is to cook them on low heat. I cooked mine at no.2 on an electric hob. Too high and they will burn and turn black (tried this already because I was too impatient!). Yes, these take longer to cook than a normal pancake but they are worth the wait.

When cooking put a lid on top to stop the heat from escaping so they will cook and raise quicker for a fluffy pancake.

STORING KETO PANCAKES

Pancakes are a classic breakfast food, and they can be made keto-friendly by using almond flour in place of traditional wheat flour. But what do you do with leftovers? Here are some tips for storing keto pancakes so that you can enjoy them later in the week.

These pancakes can be stored in the fridge for a few days or even better freeze them. Just put a sheet of baking paper in between the layers and place them in a freezer bag. Heat up in the microwave when needed or defrost in the fridge the night before breakfast.

KETO PANCAKE TOPPINGS

Pancakes are a breakfast staple, and keto-ers know that they can still enjoy this delicious food by choosing toppings that fit within their diet. Here are some of our favourite keto-friendly pancake toppings!

My favourite topping is syrup for these fluffy keto pancakes or add some blueberries.

Simply add butter when they are still warm.

Melted cheese and a slice of tomato on top

Whipped cream and raspberries!

What about the filling? Add some choc chips to the batter or a few nuts.

You could even add some homemade Keto Chocolate pudding on top. Super tasty!! The recipe is super quick to make and will last you the whole week. We all know the secret to diets is in preparation. It’s so worth it. Check out these 15 Healthy Meal Prep Ideas.

Instructions

  • Whisk all the ingredients together with your metal whisk in a bowl or large jug. The batter should be smooth like a typical pancake. If it's too thick add more milk but not too runny.
  • Pre-heat your hob at no.2 electric (low heat). Lightly grease your frying pan.
  • Drop small amounts of batter on to the pan to form circles.
  • Cover with a transparent lid and cook for about 2 minutes until bubbles start to form. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until browned. Repeat with the rest of the batter.

Notes

If your pancakes are too dark this means your hob is too hot! Lower the heat. Patience is the key to these pancakes
