Keto Gluten-Free Suet Dumplings For Stew

These gluten-free keto suet dumplings are perfect for dropping into your slow cooker 30 minutes before the stew is ready. No need to pre-bake, just mix the ingredients together roll into balls, refrigerate for half an hour then pop them in your casserole.

In this recipe, I’ll show you how to make keto dumplings that are perfect for beef or mutton stew. Best of all, they’re freezer-friendly, so you can make a big batch and save them for later!

WHAT IS SUET MADE OF?

Suet is the hard fat from meat such as beef, mutton or lamb and is found around the loins and kidneys, Suet is ideal for deep frying and for making pastry and dumplings of course! The suet makes these keto dumplings extra tasty.

HOW TO MAKE KETO DUMPLINGS

Gluten-free suet dumplings are so easy to make. Just mix all your ingredients together (ingredients in the recipe card further down the post), roll into balls and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. To make these dairy-free dumplings just substitute the cheese for vegan cheese.

STORING KETO DUMPLINGS

Once made, refrigerate for a least 30 minutes. You can also freeze them for another time just refrigerate as normal, so they harden up, then pop them in a freezer bag and store them in the freezer until needed for your next dinner.

INGREDIENTS FOR KETO GLUTEN-FREE DUMPLINGS

You will need:

3 eggs

75g Almond Flour

30g Coconut Flour

20g Psyllium Husk

Salt

1tbsp Rosemary

1tbsp Thyme

1tsp Xantham Gum

1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese

1tsp Baking Powder
