- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 250 g Egg Noodles
- 2 cups Leftover Turkey (Cut into small pieces)
- 1 Sweet Red Pepper (chopped)
- 6 Spring Onions (Chopped)
- 4 Cloves of Garlic (finely chopped)
- ½ Broccoli (or Purple Sprouting- chopped)
Marinade For Turkey
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder (granules)
- 1 tbsp Ground Ginger
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce (or Tamari Sauce)
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
Chow Mein Sauce
- 4 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 tbsp Chilli Sauce (or chili powder)
- 1 tsp Salt
How to make turkey chow mein from leftover turkey
Add the marinade to the turkey pieces, mix thoroughly and set aside.
Chop the veg and set aside. In a small bowl add all the chow mein sauce ingredients and mix together. Set aside.
Cook the noodles per packet instructions and set aside.
Heat the pan/wok with the vegetable oil on medium to high heat and fry the spring onions and garlic for 1 minute and then add the broccoli, and red pepper. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the turkey and cook until heated through.
Add the noodles and the chow mein sauce. Mix thoroughly and continue to cook until heated through and hot. Serve immediately.
