Minced Beef Dish With Rice
Asian crispy minced beef and vegetables served with rice is a delightful dish that brings together the best of Asian flavours with a comforting, hearty base. The beef is first fried with ginger, garlic and honey until cooked, then topped with the lime juice dressing to bring it alive!

Ingredients
- 2 Cloves of Garlic (Finely chopped)
- 5 cm Ginger (Finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 300 g Minced Beef
- 1 Broccoli (Florets)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper (Chopped)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- 1 tsp Runny Honey
- ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 2 Limes (Juiced)
- 1½ tsp Soy Sauce
How to Make Asian Crispy Minced Beef Dish
- Dry fry the sesame seeds in a frying pan on medium heat until golden and toasted. Remove and set aside.
- Put the sesame oil in the frying pan on medium to high heat and add the minced beef breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, followed by the ginger, garlic and honey. Fry for 5 minutes to crisp up.
- Add the broccoli and red pepper and stir through. Cook for another 5 – 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, juice the limes and add the soy sauce and cayenne pepper to the juice.
- Serve the minced beef with a bed of rice and splash some of the juice on top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, and enjoy!
Leftovers
Storing leftovers is simple and ensures you can enjoy this delicious dish again. Allow the leftovers to cool completely at room temperature, but for no longer than two hours to ensure food safety.
Once cooled, transfer it into airtight containers or resealable plastic bags. If you’re storing rice with the beef, be sure it’s also cooled completely before storage. Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
For longer storage, freeze the leftovers. Frozen minced beef can last up to 2-3 months. To reheat, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat in a pan over medium heat until warmed through.
