Storage

Storing leftovers of your one-pot Mediterranean chicken stew is simple and ensures you can savour its flavours for days to come. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Allow the stew to cool: Before storing, let the stew cool down to room temperature.
  2. Choose the right container: Transfer the stew into airtight containers. These could be glass or BPA-free plastic containers. You can also use freezer-safe bags if you plan on freezing the leftovers.
  3. Refrigerating: If you plan to consume the leftover stew within 3-4 days, refrigeration is sufficient. Simply place the airtight containers in the refrigerator.
  4. Freezing: For longer storage, you can freeze the stew. It usually lasts up to 3 months in the freezer without losing its flavour or texture. Remember to leave some space at the top of the container or bag, as the stew will expand when frozen.
  5. Reheating: When you’re ready to enjoy your stew, reheat it on the stove over medium heat until it’s hot all the way through. If you’ve frozen the stew, it’s best to defrost it in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.

Slow Cooker Option For Chicken Stew

Cooking this Mediterranean chicken stew in a slow cooker is an excellent way to let the flavours meld together even more.

Follow steps one and two and slow cook for 5 -6 hours.
