I found this recipe from one of Mary Berry’s old books. Her recipe was for sardine pâté but I didn’t have any in the pantry so opted for mackerel instead and was very pleased how good it was! My husband loved it!

- 125 g Butter (softened)
- 125 g Low-fat Soft Cheese
- 3 tbsp Lemon Juice

How to make mackerel Pâté
Puree the mackerel, butter, soft cheese, and lemon juice in a food processor until almost smooth. Add pepper and more lemon juice to taste.
Divide the mixture between 8 small ramekins or larger bowls and level the surface. Cover and chill in the refridgerator for at least 30 minutes.
Serve chilled, garnished with lemon
