Is Laban the same as Tzatziki?

No, but there are very similar. Laban uses mint rather than dill; traditionally, they use sheep milk rather than cows. The great thing about this recipe is that you can choose what you put in it. I prefer to use mint and use full-fat greek yoghurt.

What goes well with tzatziki?

Tzatziki pairs well with:

  • Grilled meats, such as lamb or chicken.
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Pita bread
  • Nachos
  • Hot Curries

How to store Tzatziki

When you’ve made your dip, store it in a Kilner jar or a glass jar and refrigerate overnight for best results. If kept in the fridge, it should last up to 5 days.

Ingredients

Some recipes add olive oil to this kind of recipe, but I don’t feel that you need it as you get all the flavours you need, and it is still smooth and creamy. If you are going to add oil, just drizzle it on top of the dip.
