- 250 g Self-Raising White Flour
- 250 g Plain Wholemeal Flour
- 125 g Butter
- 125 g Lard (or double up on butter)
- 6 tbsp Water
- Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Veggie Stock Cube (the crumbly sort)
Savoury Mince Pasty Filling
- 500 g Beef Mince
- 500 g Lamb Mince
- 200 g Carrots (Finely diced)
- 500 g Potato (Cut into small cubes)
- 500 g Celeriac (Grated) or celeriac substitutes
- 500 g Suede (Finely cut into small cubes)
- 200 g Peas
- 2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Bouillon (or any stock powder)
- 1 tbsp Celery Seed
- 2 tbsp Mixed Herbs
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbsp Hot Sauce
- 1 large Egg (to egg wash the pastry)

STEP 2: In a large bowl add the processed veg to the lamb and beef mince along with the peas, black pepper, celery seed powder, bouillon powder, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and Paprika. Mix thoroughly with your hands. Set aside.
