Easy Sausage and Butter Bean Puff Pastry Pie
This sausage and butter bean puff pastry pie is one of my top favourite dinner recipes. Not only is it really tasty and comforting it is also really easy to make. Great for a midweek dinner the whole family will love.

What’s In It?
This sausage and butter bean pie will serve 4 people.
- 1 can Cooked Butter Beans
- 6-8 Sausages
- 1 Onion (Finely Chopped)
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 Can Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Stock Powder (Boullion)
- 2 tsp Ground black Pepper
- 1 Roll Ready made puff pastry
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
How to make a puff pastry pie with sausage and butter beans
Preheat the oven at 200℃fan/220℃/400℉
Fry the onions until soft. Chop the sausages with scissors into bite size pieces and add to the frying pan. Cook on medium heat until the skins show a bit of colour.
Add the tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, stock powder, black pepper and the can of butter beans. Stir through for 2 minutes then transfer to a oven proof dish.
Roll out the puff pastry and place on top of the mixture. Trim the edges if needed. Brush the top with egg wash or milk. Pierce a whole with a sharp knife in the middle.
Cook in the oven for about 20 – 25 minutes until the pastry is crispy and golden.

I used peas with this meat pie with puff pastry as it was just enough and not over complicated. But you could you any of the suggested options below:

How to store a puff pastry pie with meat
If you have any leftovers, cover the dish in cling film and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven until piping hot to keep the crispy pastry or reheat in the microwave.
Can you freeze a sausage and butterbean puff pastry pie?
Yes, transfer to a air tight container and store in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 200℃fan/220℃/400℉ until piping hot.
