Quick Overnight Oats With Strawberries And Cream

As the days get warmer and the weather gets nicer, eating healthy can become increasingly difficult. All you want to do is eat cold food that doesn’t require any cooking! That’s why overnight oats with strawberries and cream are perfect for summertime meals.

You can put them together in a few minutes before bed, and they’ll be ready to enjoy in the morning when you’re short on time. For this recipe, we’ve added some delicious strawberries and cream. This easy recipe is perfect for those mornings when you’re short on time – simply prepare the oats the night before and enjoy them in the morning. Plus, with cream and fresh fruit, they’re packed with nutrients and flavour.

Cream Or Yoghurt

I used creme fraiche in this recipe as it was in the fridge and needed using. Usually, I would use yoghurt, but the cream goes perfectly with strawberries and was a hit in our household!

What fruit goes with overnight oats

Here I have used fresh strawberries, but you can use most fruits such as:

Blueberries

Raspberries

Cherries

Blackberries

Rhubarb (cooked)

You can also use frozen fruit!

Equipment for overnight oats

I used

Mini Chopper/Food Processor to blend the strawberries. If you haven’t got one, just mush them with a fork.

3 small glasses with lids to store your overnight oats.

Ingredients

  • 23 Strawberries
  • 9 tbsp Oats
  • 3 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 400 g Creme Fraiche
  • 6 tbsp Maple Syrup

How to make overnight oats

  • In a large bowl, add the creme fraiche. In your mini chopper/food processor, blend 20 strawberries and add to the cream and mix through.
  • Add 1 tbsp of maple syrup and mix. Taste it and if you prefer it sweeter, add more.
  • Get your glass tumblers ready and add 3 tablespoons of oats to each glass.
  • Add a tsp of cocoa powder on top of the oats. Add the strawberry mixture to each glass but not too full at this stage. Mix each glass thoroughly and add more mixture. Add a swirl of maple syrup on top and decorate with a strawberry.
  • Cover with a lid and place in the fridge overnight, and enjoy in the morning for breakfast!
