Ingredients
6 Rashers of Smoked Bacon
4 Chipolatas Sausages
500 g Sprouts (Trimmed and chopped)
1 Broccoli head (Chopped into small pieces)
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Onion (Chopped)
1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
3 Cloves of Garlic (Finely Chopped)
3 tbsp Olive Oil (or vegetable oil)
Instructions for Sausage, Bacon and Sprout Stir Fry
Heat the chipolatas and bacon in the air fryer for about 10 minutes at 180℃. Make sure the bacon is stacked and not separate so everything is cooked evenly at the same time. When done chop the sausages and bacon into small pieces.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat and fry the chopped onion until soft. Add the black pepper and salt.
Add the chopped Brussel sprouts, broccoli, pepper, paprika and cayenne pepper. Cook for about 4 -5 minutes then add the sausage and bacon. Stir for 1 minute then serve.

Serving Suggestions for Sprouts, Sausage and Bacon Stir Fry
🍽️ 1. As a Main Course
- Serve over rice or noodles: Spoon the stir fry over fluffy jasmine rice, egg noodles, or even cauliflower rice for a low‑carb option.
- Top with a fried or poached egg: The runny yolk adds richness and makes it feel like a complete meal.
- Add a drizzle of sauce: Try a splash of soy sauce, honey‑mustard glaze, or balsamic reduction to balance the smoky flavours.
🥔 2. As a Side Dish
- Pair with roast chicken or pork chops: The salty bacon and sweet sprouts complement simple roasted meats beautifully.
- Dish alongside mashed or roasted potatoes: Perfect for a hearty Sunday dinner.
- Add to a holiday spread: This stir fry makes a fun twist on traditional Brussels sprouts at Christmas or Thanksgiving.
🥗 3. Lighter Meal Ideas
- Serve with a green salad: A crisp salad with lemon vinaigrette balances the richness of the sausage and bacon.
- Toss with quinoa or couscous: Great for a quick lunch bowl that’s filling but not heavy.
- Add a squeeze of lemon or sprinkle of chili flakes: Brightens the dish and adds a little kick.
Use lean sausage or turkey bacon, reduce added fats, and toss in extra vegetables like bell peppers or onions. You can also skip the bacon and use olive oil for a lighter version.
Absolutely. It keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet to restore crispness rather than microwaving, which can make the sprouts soggy.
