Why use an air fryer?

An air fryer is an incredibly versatile and convenient kitchen appliance. Here are five great reasons to use one in your home:

  • The air fryer uses up to 80% less oil than traditional frying methods, allowing you to enjoy a healthier meal without sacrificing flavour.
  • Air frying is very fast – usually, you can have restaurant-quality food ready in just minutes!
  • You can adjust the temperature easily and precisely, allowing you to select the desired crispiness and taste of the food.
  • It’s very easy to clean since it doesn’t require large quantities of oil used for deep-frying.
  • Air frying does not create smoke or odours, so your kitchen stays pleasant while cooking. With an air fryer, you can enjoy delicious meals without sacrificing your health or spending too much time in the kitchen.

What type of sausages to cook in an air fryer

Air fryer sausages provide a healthier alternative to greasy pan-frying and can be cooked perfectly in an air fryer. This method of cooking not only brings out the best flavours from your favourite sausages and is incredibly convenient.

With air fryers, you don’t have to wait for a pan of oil to heat up, as air frying works with air and relatively low temperatures. The air fryer has such precise temperature control that it can cook your sausages just as you want them. Making air fryer sausages at home, a simpler, healthier process, has never been easier.

What temperature and how long to cook air fryer sausages?

I set my Tefal 3-in-1 air fryer to 180 degrees celsius and timed it for 15 minutes. I checked them after 13 minutes, but they weren’t quite done enough or golden, so I added an extra 2 minutes, and they came out perfect,

TIP: The time stated depends on the size of your sausages. I used thick Cumberland sausages for this recipe. If you use chipolatas or smaller sausages, check the time after 10 minutes.

TIP: No need to preheat or oil the sausages.

Can you reheat sausages in an air fryer?

Yes, of course. Just pop them in at the same temperature or at 200 degrees celsius and heat for 2 minutes. If I wanted to reheat my sausages, I would be more inclined to pop them in the microwave to reheat them.
