  • Melt the butter and chocolate together, either in the microwave at 30 second intervals or on the hob. Leave to cool slightly.
  • Whisk the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy in a electric mixer.
  • Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, flour, and salt. Add to the egg batter along with melt chocolate and butter. Stir thoroughly.
  • Pre-heat the waffle iron, then add ¼ of the mixture to each square or round depending on the type of waffle iron. Bake for about 3-4. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  • Top with melted chocolate and your favourite ice cream.
