Overnight Apple Cinnamon Oat (Stovetop Method)

Easy-to-make apple cinnamon overnight oats recipe made without milk. Great for batch cooking for the week.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ tbsp Butter
  • 1 Apple (peeled, cored and diced)
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Ginger
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Cups Oats

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chopped apple, honey, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg over a medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes or until the apples have softened.
  • Add the water and bring to the boil. Add the oats and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Divide the mixture into 2 bowls. Top with walnuts or your favourite topping.
