Easy Sticky Buttery Plain Flapjacks

  • 250 g Oats
  • 175 g Butter
  • 140 g Golden Syrup
  • 50 g Light Brown Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180 °c/160°c fan/, or gas 4. Grease and line a 23cm/9 inch square pa or brownie tin with baking paper.
  • Place the butter in a large bowl along with syrup and sugar and melt in the microwave for 2 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved. Add the oats and mix thoroughly until all oats are covered.
  • Transfer the oats to the tin and press firmly down.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes. Bake for 20 minutes for a gooey texture or 25 for a firmer, crispy texture. Mark with a knife where you are going to slice but don't cut through. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
