Easy Homemade King Prawn Fried Rice Chinese Style

Equipment

1 Wok

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 250 g Cooked Rice (Jasmine or Basmati)
  • 12 King Prawns
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (Shaoxing Wine)
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ tsp White Pepper
  • 1 Roasted Red Pepper (optional)
  • 50 g Peas (optional)
  • 1 Carrot (cut into small cubes (optional))

Stir Fry Sauce For Fried Rice

  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce (or Tamari sauce)
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a wok or deep frying pan add the oil, onions and garlic. Fry on a medium to high heat for a minute.
  • Add the prawns and continue to cook for about 2 minutes. Add any vegetables you are using, salt, pepper and Chinese wine and stir through.
  • Add the egg and leave to cook before scrambling. Add the sesame oil, rice, soy sauce and oyster sauce. Stir through until hot and serve with chopped spring onion.
