Easy Mary Berry's Chocolate Covered Fork Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Soft Margarine (or butter)
  • 50 g Caster Sugar
  • 120 g Self-Raising Flour
  • 15 g Cocoa Powder
  • 100 g Dark Chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180°c/160°c Fan/350°F/Gas 4. Lightly grease the baking trays.
  • Add the margarine and sugar to a bowl and beat together,then mix in the flour and cocoa. Bring the mixture together with your hands to form a dough. Form the dough into balls about the size of a walnut and place them well apart on the baking trays. Dip a fork in water and use this to flatten the biscuits.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Lift off the baking trays and leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Place some baking paper underneath the wire rack. Melt the chocolate in a microwave for about 40 seconds in a bowl. Dip each biscuit in the bowl, using a spoon if necessary to coat the top. Leave on the wire rack to set.
