Easy Easter Smartie Blondies

Ingredients
 
 

  • 225 g Unsalted Butter
  • 100 g White Chocolate (roughly chopped)
  • 250 g Light Muscovado Sugar
  • 150 g Caster Sugar
  • 3 lrg Eggs
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Essence
  • 325 g Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 160 g Smarties

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven at 160°c fan/180 c /gas 4. Grease and fully line with baking paper 2 brownie tins 20 x 20cm
  • Melt the butter and white chocolate in the microwave for 20 secs or until melted. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Add the sugars and eggs to a large bowl and whisk for 2 minutes until thick and foamy. Add the white chocolate mixture into your mixture along with the vanilla essence. Mix together slowly.
  • Fold in the flour, baking powder and half of the smarties until fully combined.
  • Evenly distribute the mixture to the two tins. Add the remainder of the smarties on top and press down into the mixture. Bake in the oven for 26 minutes.
  • Leave in the tins to cool. When cool cut into squares.
