Easy Plain Scone Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 225 g Plain Flour
  • tsp Baking Powder
  • Salt Pinch of
  • 40 g Unsalted Butter
  • 75 g Caster Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 50 g Coconut Cream or Clotted Cream
  • Jam to serve

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven at 180°c Fan Oven.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl, then add the butter and rub into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the sugar abd mix well.
    225 g Plain Flour, 2½ tsp Baking Powder, Salt Pinch of, 40 g Unsalted Butter, 75 g Caster Sugar
  • Mix the egg, milk and cream together, then add to the mixture to form a dough.
    1 Egg, 50 ml Milk, 50 g Coconut Cream or Clotted Cream
  • On a lightly floured surface, form a dough and cut into discs with your cutter and about 2cm thick. Transfer to a baking tray and brush with milk.
  • Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before eating.
    Jam to serve
