Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Orzo
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 30 g Butter
  • 75 g Parmesan Cheese (or any strong cheese)
  • Salt and Black Pepper (to season)
  • 1 tsp Vegetable Stock (powdered mixed with 2tbsp of hot water)

Instructions

  • To make a basic orzo recipe, start by bringing 2 cups of salted water to a boil.
Add one cup of orzo and cook for about 10 - 12 minutes or until tender.
Drain the orzo pasta and rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process. Save some pasta water for later use.
In a large skillet, melt a little butter over medium heat.
Add cooked orzo and a splash of vegetable stock. Cook for a few minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
Add some fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes, and lemon juice for a nutty flavour.
Top with feta cheese and parmesan orzo for a perfect side dish.
1 Cup Orzo, 2 Cups Water, 30 g Butter, 75 g Parmesan Cheese, Salt and Black Pepper, 1 tsp Vegetable Stock
