Instructions
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Place in a pan of salted water and bring to the boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes until tender.
Drain, add the milk and butter, season with salt and pepper and mash until smooth, then beat with an electric whisk but not too long as it will become gloopy. Serve as it is, or choose one of the 11 options above for extra flavour!
