Easy Chinese Pulled Pork Chow Mein Takeaway Style

Equipment

1 Wok

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 250 g Egg Noodles
  • 2 cups Pulled Pork (leftover pork)
  • 1 Red Pepper (chopped)
  • 6 Spring Onions (Chopped)
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 Carrots (grated)
  • ½ Broccoli

Marinade For Pulled Pork

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (granules)
  • 1 tbsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce (or Tamari Sauce)
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

Chow Mein Sauce

  • 4 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Chilli Sauce (or chili powder)
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Add the marinade to the pork, mix thoroughly and set aside.
  • Chop the veg and make the sauce in a bowl.
  • Cook the noodles per packet instructions and set aside.
  • Heat the pan/wok with the vegetable oil on medium to high heat and fry the spring onions and garlic for 1 minute and then add the broccoli, carrots and red pepper. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the pork and cook until heated through.
  • Add the noodles and the chow mein sauce. Mix thoroughly and continue to cook until heated through and hot. Serve immediately.
