How To Make The Best Easy Pizza Dough (Mary Berry)

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Strong White Flour
  • 7 g Fast-Action Dried Yeast
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (plus extra for greasing the proving bowl)
  • 300 ml Warm Water

Instructions
 

  • Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Add the warm water with the olive oil and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes. You can also do this in a mixer using the dough hook..
  • Place the dough in a clean bowl, cover it with a damp tea towel or cling film, and leave it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 240°C (220°C fan)/465°F/gas mark 9
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape. Add your favourite toppings, such as tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, crushed garlic and fresh basil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve immediately.
