Add oil to a pan and heat on high heat. Fry the garlic, onions, spring onions, ginger, thyme and chilli for 2 to 3 mins.
Add the minced beef along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix thoroughly and fry for about 3 minutes. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes whilst you make the dough. Pre-heat the oven at 180°c/350°f/Gas 4
Add the flour to your mixer along with the tumeric ,salt, baking powder, and curry powder. Mix through. Add the chopped butter and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs. Gradually add the milk until it forms a dough.
Transfer onto a floured surface and roll out to about ½ cm thick. Cut out into rounds using a floured plate. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of beef mixture to the centre of the pastry. Using a pastry brush, dip in the egg wash and brush around the edges. Fold and seal with fingers and then get a fork and crimp the edges. Transfer to a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes.
